Most materials clarinets are made of change dimensionally throughout the seasons, causing clarinets to play, sound, and respond inconsistently. This is more true of the barrel than any other part of the clarinet.
 
Stated another way, dimensional changes higher in the bore produce greater effects in resistance, tone color, response and tuning. Eliminating these changes provide the player with greater stability and a more uniform, predictable interface from day to day.
 
Our interchangeable precision bore barrels give the player the ability to change subtle resistances and tuning characteristics in the clarinet to better compliment particular reed/mouthpiece combinations.

The barrels come in lengths of 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, and 68mm's.
